Weight loss: Diet Food that makes you Fat ?? Eat Mindfully and avoid certain things during Weight Loss !

Diet Food is a fad!

Nowadays Diet foods, such as those labeled “low-fat,” “low-calorie” or “fat-free,” are specifically marketed to people looking to shed excess weight.

However, many diet foods may do your waistline more harm than good. These packed Foods are really fattening than what they really seem. Don't go for how the companies market them but do check what their ingredients list actually contain.

Lets discuss some of them,

1. Brown Bread:

🍞Although brown bread has replaced white bread, don’t choose them blindly. Most brown bread brands come with all refined flour and very little portion of whole wheat flour, that makes the bread lose many of the nutrients. The refined flour lacks fiber, natural minerals and vitamins and most of the vital nutrients get damaged in refining the flour, leaving behind a rich source of sugar.
🍞In the processing of bread, sugar, salt and all of preservativesare added. Even most Bread packets are devoid of whole wheat and colouring agents are added to make it look like Brown Bread.

🍞Whole Wheat Bread are usually very fibrous and you could just feel the real fiber in the Bread. But it is really difficult to differenciate both. Although claimed to be made of whole wheat entirely, most brown bread contains maida, which is one of the reasons of considering white bread as unhealthy. So all the weight watchers should choose your bread wisely!!!!

 2. Health Bars:

✔️Many of you consider these health bars a everyday convenient and healthy snack and enjoy their flavour and versatility. They may contain as much sugar, carbs, and calories as candy bars.

✔️These bars are often highly processed and contain added sugar, artificial sweeteners, and sucrose which can negatively impact our health. They may contain 200 to 300 calories per Bar, which may amounts to one entire meal calories for many of us.

✔️In some cases, these bars can be a good source of fiber and protein to help curb cravings between meals. Still, studying ingredient lists carefully or choosing to make your own healthy bars can ensure that your snack is both nutritious and delicious.

✔️ You can have your homemade peanut Chikki, Til Chikki, Dry fruit Chikki etc. instead as a healthy snack option also. Will be sharing the recipe soon.

3. Packaged Juices:

🍉Tetra Packaged juices, with zero pulp are low in fibre and high in sugar. Even though they read as “No Sugar” the juices contain Fructose, corn starch and other artificial sweeteners which are used as an alternative to sugar.

🥝Our homemade fruit juice stays fresh for not more than 3-5 hours. A lot of fruit syrups, flavors and Preservatives are added to keep the packed juices fresh and taste the same even after months.

🍇All this makes the packed juices high in calories  compared to the fresh juices made at home.

🍒At times, packaged juices may not be very harmful but may also not be beneficial. It’s always better to have freshly prepared juice rather than packaged juice and consume fresh fruits over fresh juice.

4. Diet/ Digestive/ Whole grain Biscuit:

🍪Diet or Whole-wheat Biscuit are filled with sugar, refined flour and fats which are not required for your body and will only deteriorate your health.
.
🍪Baking soda and sodium soluble substance are added to make them taste Crunchy. They are high processed foods with Zero fibre and filled with preservatives to make them sustain for many days.

🍪Maida dough is prepared easily, and it is easily workable and feasible other than the Wheat flour which has fiber and whereby the dough starts to break, and work ability and sustainability of biscuits becomes difficult.

🍪Even though the packaging reads whole Wheat, very little amount of wheat is used in the processing. The commercial branding of the product makes us believe that the product is made of Whole Wheat.

🍪However, stick to eating just one or two at a time, instead go with your Homemade Biscuits or Nankhatai, Khakhra, Bhakhri to aid faster Weight loss.
